My Story
Raised in the Twin City area, I’m a true Midwesterner. After graduating from the University of Iowa with my degree in English and History, I moved to Kansas City for law school and have happily called it home ever since. In law school I found myself intrigued with Property Law, ultimately earning a spot on the Dean’s List. I also worked as a Team Leader for the Midwest Innocence Project, and as an intern for the ACLU, U.S. Department of Education - OCR, and the Jackson County Prosecutor’s Office. In 2015, I graduated with Pro Bono Honors and was fortunate to have been a member of the UMKC Law Review and featured in several journals.
I’ve worked for the last eight years as a trial lawyer gaining knowledge and experience in several areas of law. My interest in property law and other transactional law maintained well after law school. I have also gained extensive knowledge in the areas of real estate contracts and instruments, landlord/tenant issues, foreclosures, business entity and organization, bankruptcy/creditor’s rights, and contracts.
In my free time I enjoy listening to my awesome and extensive record collection, catching a ball game or camping with friends.
